Tevin Tobun, Founder and CEO of cutting edge logistics company, GV Group, has been named as one of this year’s Ones To Watch as part of The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme for 2021.
The programme, which is supported by The Times and now in its fourth year, celebrates the inspiring leaders behind some of the UK’s most successful and fast-growing medium-sized firms.
Despite the challenges of the last 18 months, the Top 50 programme received a record number of nominations; more than 600 proving that ambition is alive and well.
The Ones to Watch are the leaders that are destined for great things and are the driving force behind tomorrow’s mid-sized firms. They are growing businesses that are making a big impact on their customers and target markets, and will be the nation’s principal job creators over the years to come.
Tevin’s leading independently owned food organisation, GV Group, which has created a global network spanning the UK, South America and Africa, delivers over 21million meals on behalf of some of the biggest contract caterers and wholesalers across the country - clients have included Fortnum & Mason and Iceland. The GV Group subsidiary, Platebox, delivers almost 10 million meals to schools across the UK, while Foodmove makes 15million deliveries to small businesses, hotels and restaurants. In an attempt to reduce carbon footprint, Tevin has sanctioned a £1 million investment into a new fleet of more environmentally friendly vehicles to execute his business.
As founder of The Tobun Foundation, Tevin has provided the tools, advice and mentoring to the young, to break through barriers created by unfortunate circumstances. In addition, he has established the GV Scholarship Programme, that grants underprivileged and disadvantaged young people with scholarships and career development support to reach their desired goals.
