Fellowship recognises his leadership in logistics, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - 2024 – Dr Tevin Tobun, Founder & CEO of
Routd Technology and GV Group, has been awarded an Industrial Fellow at the University of East London (UEL) in recognition of his ongoing contribution to connecting industry with research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Industrial Fellowship is part of UEL’s commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. Through this position, Dr Tobun will share his expertise in technology, logistics and sustainable business, helping bridge the gap between research and application in the real world.
“It’s a privilege to be recognised as an Industrial Fellow by the University of East London,” said Dr Tobun. “This fellowship is about connecting innovation with industry and ensuring that new ideas reach the people and communities who can benefit most. I'm passionate about helping students and researchers turn insight into impact, especially in fields like technology and logistics that are shaping our future economy.”
With more than 20 years of leadership in technology and logistics, Dr Tobun has built businesses that deliver millions of meals and goods across the UK. Through Routd Technology, he has championed AI-powered routing to improve delivery accuracy by 30% and reduce waste by 25%. The innovations from Routd have helped organisations operate more efficiently and sustainably and have opened new opportunities for small and diverse suppliers to participate in major supply chains.
Outside of his businesses, Dr Tobun’s commitment to education and inclusion is clear. As Chair of Inspirational You, he has empowered more than 10,000 entrepreneurs and young professionals through mentorship and leadership training. Through The Tobun Foundation, he has provided scholarships, digital access, and over 1,000 laptops to students from underrepresented backgrounds. As a Council Member at The Open University, he has also helped secure over £5 million in scholarships, expanding educational access worldwide.
Dr Tobun’s position as an Industrial Fellow reflects his long-standing belief that business and education must work hand in hand to drive innovation, sustainability and social mobility.
