Routd Technology announced the commercial launch of an AI-driven logistics marketplace, designed to match businesses with vetted drivers, optimise routes in real time, and reduce wasted capacity across fleets in an “Uber-style” model for last-mile and mid-mile delivery. The platform launch was featured in Supply Chain Dive. Supply Chain Dive

Routd Technology’s platform puts machine learning at the centre of day-to-day logistics: its algorithms evaluate GPS, traffic and historical delivery data to recommend faster routes and better driver-job matches, while a dynamic scheduling engine reassigns work and reroutes vehicles when conditions change. These capabilities can reduce delivery times and fuel use. Routd Technology says these measurable inputs will deliver cost savings for operators and improved earnings for drivers. Supply Chain Dive

“AI is not an add-on or an afterthought for us, it is the foundation,” Routd Technology CEO Tevin Tobun said in the announcement, summarising the company’s view that intelligence should be core to planning, execution and reporting across logistics operations.

Key product features include:

Skills-based job matching and compliance checks that help fleet managers find drivers with the right experience and with background checks already completed.

● Predictive routing that draws on traffic and historical performance to cut transit times and fuel consumption.

● Real-time dynamic scheduling which reassigns tasks to nearby drivers when jobs finish early or when disruptions occur.

Routd Technology’s growth roadmap features international expansion with localisation features (multi-lingual assistants, automated compliance modules) and load optimisation tools aimed at lowering emissions and cost. The platform is positioned as a way for customers to focus on growth while Routd Technology handles the operational complexities that often hold back businesses.

Why this matters to the supply and logistics industry

For retailers, foodservice operators and third-party logistics providers, the combination of AI-driven matching and adaptive routing can reduce empty miles, improve on-time performance and provide clearer, data-driven insight into partner performance. Routd Technology's approach targets both efficiency gains for businesses and better utilisation, and potential earnings upside for drivers.
